REVIEW-

This is one of the most nominated movies in recent history and even though I'm a little late with the review I can tell you that I've already seen it and was quite impressed. It's not the sort of movie I usually rave about, but I love a good feature as much as anyone. This big budget western was shot in high-definition so those people who are always clamoring for more quality in there porn will want to take note. (I am reviewing the VHS because that is what was sent. I imagine it looks even better on DVD.) Shot like a mainstream movie, the music and cinematography is very impressive and sets the stage for the sex perfectly. How good are the sex scenes? That's always the sticking point when a feature is this good.

Carmen Luvana returns home after the death of her father. She isn't sure what to do with a huge ranch. Her first thought is to sell the place and that doesn't go over well with Steven St. Croix who has turned the ranch into a very successful operation. He excuses himself and finds comfort in the arms of Brooke Balentine, a gun toting girl who seems dedicated to making sure Steven gets what he wants in every way. It actually seems to be shot and edited with the soft-core version in mind. There is some great looking eye candy and a few decent sexual moments, but raincoaters are going to be totally lost if they pop this movie in. Anyone looking for a good feature for couples with a Western theme, a good script and a very main-stream feel, will find this to be perfect. Carmen Luvana looks great and adds a little heat, but I think she is somewhat underused here. Ditto Kaylani, who is so freaking pretty it hurts. Her scene is quite a disappointment. since I seen her do much hotter work in other features. Jesse looks great as always and manages to generate some heat with her scene. Almost everyone in the movie is more impressive in their dialog scenes than their sex scenes. I love the look of this movie and the quality is excellent. ItΓÇÖs not what IΓÇÖm looking for sexually, but itΓÇÖs still one of the top five features of 2003.
