Genghis Khan is the Mongolian, not russian or chinese :) Great movie :D

The Khan is not Chinese but have very big impact on Chinese history. While Genghis Khan never conquered all of China, his grandson Kublai Khan completed that conquest, and established the Yuan Dynasty that is often credited with re-uniting China. There has also been much artwork and literature praising Genghis as a great military leader and political genius. The years of the Mongol-established Yuan Dynasty left an indelible imprint on Chinese political and social structures for subsequent generations. However, the legacy of Genghis Khan and his successors, who completed the conquest of China after 65 years of struggle, remains a mixed topic, even to this day.

Every single word of this move is spoken in Mongolian with no suptitles. I recommend skipping it altogether unless you happen to speak Mongolian.

The movie comes with a SUBTITLE file! I watched it/read it just fine. Can't wait for the other 2 movies!!

it has subtitles but i was expecting a lot more wars if this is part of o trilogy then this tells the story of his early days and the next two to follow will be even better

If you are watching the movie in windows media player it should see/detect the subtitle file automaticly so long as it is in the folder of the movie file.
If you are using VLC player you have to direct the player to the location of the file then select the sub file.
If you are burning the movie to disk to play in a divx dvd player for your TV, include the sub file when you burn the avi and your player should also autodetect/play the subs.(or so my dvd player does anyways) Hope this helps!

I use Nero to burn them to dvd to watch on tv,so i will mess about with it,when i have it d loaded again. Thanx for taking the time to answer. ;o)))

Because this is one of the first if not the first movie about Khan that is actually written from the Mongol history books, not from every other countries version of someone elses history! It is a very good movie and is what it needs to be for a 1st of 3 movie installment.

Well, I learned something today. I was not able to get Windows media player to do the subtitles but VLC player and Nero Show Time player both did show the subtitles. Thanks SouLesS08.

It doesnt surprised me that u Americans dont know how to use subtitles...U do not make a diference between Russian or Mongolian or Chinese,and to use a subtitles is probably a higher math for u.... I think that some of u have heard for the first time that there is a Mongol nation (IQ probably not over 30 (idiotic)...hey people SURPRISE: u r not the only people on Earth!!! :):):):)

This is an awesome biography movie of the G Genghis Khan. Deserves a nomination. I wasnt aware of this part of history. The real life this hero, the conqurer. Wonderfully made. Worth watching
