Premier Venezualan Heavy Metal from former ARKANGEL singer Paul Gillman. Caracas born Paul Silvestre Gillman is a major star in his homeland. His formative years were spent as drummer for the 1975 act EKUTROM prior to founding POWER AGE during 1977, fronting ARKANGEL and forging MASSAKRE in 1982. Striking out as GILLMAN with the 1984 debut 'Levantate Y Pelea' his band comprised guitarist Ernesto Ferro, bass player Luis Ferrer and drummer Felipe Celis. For the follow up, 1985's 'El Guerrero', found the band evolving, Gillman and Ferro being joined by RESISTENCIA's Rodrigo Yoma on second guitar, RESISTENCIA bassist Víctor López and drummer Felix Guerrra.

The 'Sigueme' album, arriving in 1988, would be issued as a solo effort credired to PAUL GILLMAN. This effort witnessed a cast of guest musicians, including Ferro and Guerrra. Reverting back to the GILLMAN tag 'El Regreso Del Guerrero' was delivered in 1990. Ferro and Guerrra would still be in the ranks alongside new personnel guitarist Alex Garcia and bass guitarist Eulalio 'Churdy' Toledo. This roster of players remained stable for 1991's 'Los Mas Duro'. It would be all change for the 1994 'Escalofrio' album, Gillman's backing band now comprising Facundo Coral on lead guitar, bassist Churdy and drummer Eduardo Saez.
