The second episode filmed this season is further proof why it was GUNSMOKE at its best!
I'm not sure if the title "10 Little Indians" was taken from Agatha Christie's novel or not, but one thing is for certain: there are no Native Americans in this story. The next Indian episode is "Kioga".
Bruce Dern and Zalman King not only appeared together here, but also a year later in another great episode "The Jailer", in which they played different roles: as two of the sons of Bette Davis.
Dern's conversation with Warren Oates in the Long Branch is classic, and at one point Dern pretends to kiss him out of pity. Gay overtones maybe??
John Marley has a major guest role too, and this is one of his more memorable TV appearances. But nothing John ever did on film will match the time he woke up with a dead horse's head in his bed in The Godfather!
