Kandia - Light EP ( The new Rock breakthrough band ) torrent

Kandia play a strong rock with a solid melody and a few acoustic details. They are based on their two founder members : Nya Cruz (Voice and Songwriting) and Andre (Guitar Player and Composer). They believed to be the perfect match as they are influenced by similar bands: from Pink Floyd to Metallica, going through more recent projects like Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Deadman, australian progressive rock band The Butterfly Effect, Muse, Nickelback and so many others.
KANDIA are born in November 2007 from A.C. & Nya's experiments. From jamming at home to entering a studio to record their first work only 8 months have passed. After a home made pre-production, USS facilities became the obvious choice for these musicians who, together with producer Daniel Cardoso & his talented assistant Pedro Mendes made the "Light" shine a month later.
Nya came from a background of metal music, being the voice & words to gothic-rock band Love Lies Eternal.
A.C. has always been connected to progressive rock, working with Miguel Santos "Broken Hourglass" project & his own "Backlit". They would later meet up at a new hard-rock project, and departure after a concert at the portuguese SBSR Festival.
A change of pace was obvious for both & they would start exchanging ideas very quickly. Soon enough, with the birth of "Grown Up", they were certain that they were getting somewhere.
Nevertheless, their effort is to make meaningfull music. The name itself comes from Cape Verde's word "kandia" which means "blinding by light ".
