Trama:
Un virus mortale chiamato "Il Mietitore", divulgatosi nelle isole britanniche, costringe le autorità a dichiarare lo stato di quarantena dopo che milioni di persone sono state contaminate e di queste, centinaia di migliaia sono morte. La quarantena ha successo, ma isola per sempre queste zone dal resto del mondo. Dopo venticinque anni, il virus fa la sua ricomparsa a Londra, ed un gruppo di esperti viene chiamato ad occuparsene, iniziando col recarsi urgentemente nei luoghi dove si manifestò per la prima volta l'epidemia, per raccogliere più materiale possibile. Al loro arrivo però, si trovano davanti la desolazione e le condizioni in cui saranno costretti ad operare saranno a dir poco drammatiche...
