Jewel Kilcher [born May 23rd 1974 in Payson, Utah] is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and poet, generally known just by her first name, Jewel. She has received three Grammy Award nominations and sold over 27 million albums worldwide. She debuted on February 28th 1995 with the album, Pieces Of You, which became one of the best selling debut albums of all time, going platinum twelve times.

'0304' is the fourth studio album by American pop singer Jewel, released in June 2003 on Atlantic Records. The album was considered Jewel's most mainstream-accessible album at that time. Inspired by the sudden success of scoring a No.1 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart with 'Serve The Ego', the final single from her previous effort 'This Way', Jewel made a radical departure from previous musical efforts and recorded '0304', a pop- and club-friendly record, void of anything "folk-like" she had previously done. The music video for the first single, 'Intuition', featured a more "sexed-up" Jewel, showing cleavage and wearing a white T-shirt sprayed with water, even though it was supposedly done in a "tongue-in-cheek" fashion. Many fans accused her of selling out. '0304' ended up being Jewel's highest-debuting album in her career, debuting and peaking at No.2 on the Billboard 200, selling 142,000 copies in its first week. Also, the album went gold for selling 900,000.
