SINOPSIS

Todo empieza cuando Dan Burns, viudo, padre y columnista asesor familiar, que aún no se ha repuesto de la pérdida de su mujer, se refugia en la excusa de que debe ocuparse de sus tres rebeldes hijas para evitar enfrentarse a cualquier situación imprevista. Pero todo está a punto de cambiar cuando Dan las lleva a pasar un fin de semana a Rhode Island para la reunión otoñal que anualmente celebra la numerosa, alegre y ruidosa familia Burns. Al poco de llegar, conoce a una atractiva mujer llamada Marie en una librería. Por primera vez en mucho, mucho tiempo, Dan siente una auténtica chispa, pero enseguida debe apagarla al descubrir que Marie es la nueva novia de su hermano Mitch y que va a ser presentada a la familia.
