RIASSUNTO


E' l'anno zero zero settantanove dell'Era Universale.
Sono passati cinquant'anni da quando la popolazione della Terra ha cominciato a trasferirsi su gigantesche colonie spaziali orbitanti.
Queste sono diventate la patria di una nuova generazione di esseri umani, che su esse nascono, crescono e... muoiono.

Universal Century 0079: il Principato di Zion dichiara la sua secessione dalla Federazione Terrestre, scatenando quindi un'intensa guerra di indipendenza, che infurierà su ogni continente della Terra ed in quasi ogni colonia spaziale e insediamento lunare. Zion è inizialmente avvantaggiato dall'uso di un rivoluzionario tipo di arma, il mobile suit, armatura mobile di aspetto antropomorfo. Quando una squadra di ricognizione di Zion, disobbedendo agli ordini ricevuti, attacca la colonia di Side 7 i cittadini di quest'ultima scoprono la risposta della Federazione a questa nuova arma: il Gundam. Con l'aiuto dei soldati federali superstiti della corazzata da trasporto Base Bianca l'equipaggio di rifugiati inizia un'avventura che li porterà a cambiare il corso della cd. Guerra di Un Anno.

September U.C. 0079 - December U.C. 0079

In the year Universal Century 0079,The Principality of Zeon invents a gigantic human-shaped weapon called the Mobile Suit (MS) and begins its war for independence against the Earth Federation. The story depicts the life of young boys and girls in the war, focusing on the young protagonist named Amuro Ray. Amuro becomes the pilot of the Gundam, a prototype MS developed by Federation Force. Through his battles against the ace pilot of Zeon, Char Aznable, and the bitter trials of the war, he become aware of his uniqueness as a NewType.
